Privacy Policy
Vordenk.ai is an AI chat workspace that keeps your data on your own device. This page explains, in plain words, what stays on your device and what is sent elsewhere.
What stays on your device
- Your chats, notes, settings, name and interests are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. If you set a passphrase, this data is encrypted with it.
- Vordenk has no accounts, no advertising and no analytics or tracking, and it sets no cookies.
What is sent when you use it
- Your messages. To get an answer, your message (and any file or image you attach) is sent through Vordenk's server to an AI provider, such as Google Gemini or Groq, or to the provider whose API key you entered yourself. Their own privacy policies apply to what they receive. Vordenk's server passes the message on and does not store it.
- Your own API keys. Keys you paste in stay on your device and are sent with each request only so that request can be made. They are not stored or logged and are never part of sync.
- Searches. If a feature looks something up (web search, news, music or video search, a chapter list), the search words are sent to that search or data service.
- Running code. Code you run in Professionals mode runs in your browser. It is sent to a sandbox server only if you turn on "Run code on a server" in Settings and press Run on that block.
Sign-in and sync (optional)
- Sync is off unless you turn it on. Your synced data is encrypted on your device with your passphrase before it is uploaded, so Vordenk cannot read it or recover your passphrase.
- Google sign-in uses only the basic "openid" permission. Vordenk keeps an opaque identifier from Google to link your devices. It does not receive or store your name, photo or contact list.
- Email sign-in uses your email address only to send a six-digit code. The address itself is not stored; only a keyed hash of it is.
Your choices
- You can delete your chats and local data at any time in Settings. Erasing local data on one device does not delete a synced copy.
- You can use Vordenk without signing in and without sync.
Children
Vordenk is not directed at children under 8.
